If I am studying for the state tests what more could I do to insure that I get good grades on the tests? Some say that just going over work and doing the homework is enough, but for me that is not enough because my grades matter to me just like they should to everyone else.
I am doing my math and I happen to have a question. I need a little bit more help on turning a fraction into a decimal. I am stuck on number 5 on the seccond page... I don't get it?
Emily, I don't have the sheet in front of me so I'm not sure of the question exactly. However to turn a fraction into a decimal, you simiply divide the numerator by the denominator (add the decimal and zeroes in the dividend as needed). Example, if I'm turning 3/4 into a decimal I would divide 4 into 3. 4 cannot go into 3 and therefore you need a decimal and a zero. Now the problem looks like 4 into 3.0 (or 30 because you forget the decimal and add it when you are done). 4 goes into 30, 7 times leaving 2 behind (need to add another zero to the dividend and bring down). Now you have 4 into 20, this goes in 5 times with no remainder (division done). So 3/4 is the same as 0.75. Hope this helps Emily :)
It does seem true most people think that the amount of work thy are now doing to study for the test is enough but I'll tell you it is not enough that you will be able to insure that you get a good grade on the test. If you don't try and if you don't study you are just preparing to fail the state tests.
Thanks Mr.Travers that really helps a lot. And one last thing... So you think my brother should study for the reading tests because he is saying that he always gets good grades on the reading tests. He say that therefor he does not need to study he can just wing it like normal!
what is a good site to study for the ela state test book 2
This has absolutely NOTHING to do with tests. I am in distress right now and I felt the need to talk about. There is a mouse in my house!!!!! It's trapped on one of those stickey mose traps and it's stuck in between my washer and th kitchen sink!!! you know how mice squeak? Well boy does this guy squeak!!! I'm in the living room and I cam hear him, and that's half-way across the house!!! If I don't come back tomorrow I have probably died from terror!! If that is the case I want you to hold a funeral for me. If I never see another mouse again it'll be too soon!
Ok really Alexis!! You are freaking out over a mouse in a mouse trap... When I go up to camp a
Mouse runs right in front of my bed every night. Now that's something to frek out about! I am also freaking out about the home work! Does anyone know what word can be unscrambled out of spiobloln?! Oh never mind I got it!
Just so you know, 'freak' is spelled F-R-E-A-K.
Alexis I think I understand how to spell freak it's just on a small I pod it's hard to spell words excatly
Wow. The math tests have been easy so far.
Does a homework pass count if you lose it but your parent writes you a note?
