Herbert Spencer once said, "Education has for its object the formation of character." I believe he was completely correct in this regard and I thought I would share a bit of my character. Growing up on Long Island, under the watchful and loving eyes of my parents and three older sisters, I developed into an eager learner, passionate about helping others. I knew wanting to constantly feed my brain as well as change lives for the better, the best profession was to teach. I proceeded to Marist College and got my first degree in Psychology and Special Education. Pursuing more, I went on to Adelphi University and earned a Master's Degree in Early Literacy. Shortly after the completion of my graduate program, I relocated to be with my future wife and took a job in the Watervliet City School District. When not working I enjoy any and all sports, reading, watching a good movie, and spending time with my family and friends. I also love turtles.
